What is Treatment Foster Care?
The goal of Treatment Foster Care is to help Children with mental health issues live successfully in families and communities.
Treatment Foster Care is
a foster family-based treatment program that trains, reimburses, and supervises
Parents who provide homes for children and adolescents.
The Treatment Foster Care
Program serves children and youth whose special needs cannot be met in their
own families.
Treatment Foster Parents,
through training from the agency, become specialists in the care of youth with
emotional and behavioral problems. Treatment Foster Parents receive daily
clinical support from the agency, higher daily rate, intensive training and
prestige in their role as part of the Treatment team. Other members of the
treatment team include a Family Support Worker, Home Based Therapist, Group
Therapists, Foster Care Coordinator and Respite staff.

Treatment Foster Care programming
is part of CMH’s commitment to maintaining
children and youth in homes in our community. Placing children in treatment
foster homes is one way to maintain a child in a family like setting while
providing intensive support and wrap-around services.
