County began providing services
as an established single Mental Health Board in 1967. In 2002, we
joined with Allegan County Community Mental Health, Kalamazoo Community Mental Health Services,
and Woodlands (Cass) Behavioral Healthcare Network to form a regional
affiliation.

current population of the county is approximately 62,984. The two major
cities in St. Joseph County are Three Rivers
and Sturgis. St. Joseph
County has received
partial designation as a health shortage and medically underserved
area.
