Access Clinician

Community Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services of St. Joseph County is seeking an Access Clinician responsible for ensuring that service requests from prospective clients and other stakeholders are assessed, with resultant disposition, within required time frames.  The intent is to ensure that access to mental health and substance abuses services is done quickly and in a user-friendly manner, with practical assistance and information provided along the way.  Services may be provided on a routine, urgent, or emergent basis, with short term crisis stabilization services provided as needed. Access Clinician will provide clinical screening for access to services for adults and children with behavioral health, co-occurring disorders and substance use disorders.  Access Clinician will also provide emergency services i.e. prescreens for inpatient and crisis interventions during daytime hours.  

 

Master’s level degree- MSW, LPC, or LLP required. PSYCHIATRIST - PT

Community Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services of St. Joseph County is seeking a part time Psychiatrist who has experience working with children and adults of diverse backgrounds.  The successful candidate will perform outpatient psychiatric assessments, diagnosis, and treatment to mentally ill populations.  Responsible for conducting emergency mental health evaluations to assess individuals immediate needs to assure their safety.  Prepares treatment plans, coordinates, and communicates clinical decision making with input from individuals served and other providers to ensure care is provided in a recovery oriented fashion.  This position requires M.D, or D.O. degree and board certified as well as 2 years clinical experience.  Required licenses include valid DEA, Michigan Medical License, and current Board Certification. As St. Joseph County is considered an underserved rural area, tuition forgiveness is available through Bureau Health Workforce. Childrens Skill Instructor PART TIME POSITION

Children’s Skills Instructor to provide individual and group skills building instruction and services to children who are mentally ill or SED in a Clubhouse setting.
